Underground Railroad Resale

Donations to Underground Railroad Resale directly benefit the survivors we serve. Our clients use URR issued vouchers for clothing and household items they need throughout their transition periods. Revenue from the surplus donations provides funding for programs and services provided at URR. Donation Items Accepted:

  • Gently used clothing, accessories and shoes – men’s, women’s and children’s
  • Gently used furniture
  • Linens and rugs
  • Lamps, electronics, working appliances
  • Musical instruments in working condition
  • Baby toys and items
  • Books, record albums, tapes, videos and CD’s
  • Cell phones and telephones
  • Toys – any age children’s games, puzzles and books
  • Gently used housewares, antiques and collectibles
  • Personal hygiene items for shelter clients
  • Diapers and baby wipes for shelter clients

We Can No Longer Accept:

  • Used mattresses and box springs
  • Large entertainment centers
  • Cribs
  • Carseats
  • Carpet and carpet padding
  • Encyclopedias
  • Paint, chemicals, hazardous waste products, propane tanks
  • Waterbeds
  • Guns, firearms, ammunition
  • Organs
  • Torn or stained furniture
  • Bike Helmets
  • Broken or damaged items or electronics
  • TVs and PC monitors except for thin flat panels
