Puzzle Roundup: March 25th 2025

This is (provisionally) going to be a regular feature where I will post the results from my puzzle solving from that day. This will mainly feature the puzzles for Puzzmo and the New York Times.

Puzzmo

Puzzmo is a new kid on the block. They have been around just over a year and have made bold strides in introducing both new puzzles and new spins on older puzzles. At some point, I will review the website but suffice to say that they are one of the best places to play now. The best part is that they have a new puzzle every day, and the Today’s Puzzle is free to solve. If you want access to their archives, you could subscribe to the service, but that’s not necessary.

Sophie Hunter's New Single Cha Cha

Music is a big part of my life. I have play lists for every mood and occasion that I have built over decades. I often listen to music while I am reading, writing or programming. The majority of these, of course, are Urdu and Punjabi Classics. That’s what I grew up listening to. However, early enough in my life, I was introduced to the likes of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Eagles and more. This means that my playlists have a significant number of North American and British singers as well.

All the Slots in YubiKey Series 5

Introduction

Hardware keys have seen a resurgence in the past couple years. This is particularly in the wake of the recent standardization of Passkeys by the FIDO Alliance. I have been keeping an eye on them for improving the security for myself and my family. I ended up buying a set of YubiKey 5c NFC for my family. I have had a good experience integrating them into my online identities.

The AAProp Project: Part 1

Introduction

I have lately been enamored by the Rust Programming Language. I have never really had a good experience with C or C++ enough for me to build actual projects in the language. I respect them because they have made the majority of our modern infrastructure, but I personally had a lot of trouble getting into those languages. This is where Rust won me over with the cleaner syntax, promises of memory safety and the excellent teaching community built around it. One of the most important thing that made me want to actively build projects in Rust was NoBoilerplate/Tris’s YouTube video about how Rust makes it easier for you to “Finish the projects”.
