The NA62 experiment

Date: 25-07-2024

The main aim of the NA62 experiment housed in the North Area at CERN is to study rare kaon decays. NA62 consists of a special detector known as ANTI0. Its main purpose is to veto the muon halo coming from the upstream and entering the decay volume, as this is the main source of background in the beam-dump mode operation.
