Abstract

In this talk, we will explore intricate ways in which physical principles are encoded in scattering amplitudes. In particular, we will discuss the imprints of causality and crossing symmetry on the analyticity properties of scattering amplitudes, and show how different observables can be related to one another via analytic continuations. We highlight how such physical insights can be leveraged to simplify computations in perturbation theory, and deepen our understanding of collider observables.
