I am an associate professor at Indiana University. (Previously, I was at Georgetown University and, before that, The Ohio State University.) My research, which you can find out more about below, has focused on the detection and correction of annotation errors in corpora.
Information on the CL program at Indiana can be found here and on the CL wiki, covering computational linguistic activity at IU, including weekly colloquium talks.
Other than the Linguistics Department page, check out the Language Sciences at IU page for information on language-related work at IU.

Projects I am or have been involved with:
Spring 2017:
Language and Computers (L245)
Computation and Linguistic Analysis (L445/L545)
Fall 2016:
Programming for Computational Linguistics (L435/L555)
Seminar: Author Profiling (L715/B659)
I served as co-PI of the DECCA project, Detection of Errors and Correction in Corpus Annotation, as part of NSF grant IIS 0623837
A listing of corpus resources on the web I created with funding from a seed grant from the OSU College of Humanities.
For non-linguistic friends and family, I wrote up a primer on what my first publication was about. You can find that here.
My beautiful wife, Stephanie, is a brilliant statistician over at the Indiana Statistical Consulting Center (ISCC).
My dad, Ron, is the head minister at the First United Methodist Church in O'Fallon, IL; be sure to check out his recent sermons, along with some devotionals from my mom, Phyllis, who also does a lot with their church.
My brother, Colby, is an assistant professor at Loyola University. (Systematic theology goes well with computational linguistics.)
I'm working on a page to highlight the great relationship I have with my brother-in-law Jeff. You can see what I have so far here.
We attend First United Methodist Church in Bloomington, but have pretty strong connections with Exodus and Red Door churches.
When we lived in Washington, DC, we attended National City Christian Church, and were actively involved in the young adult group there, YADA. It's pretty cool.
In Columbus, OH, we were involved with Christian Graduate Student Alliance, and attended Fourth Avenue Christian Church, which I highly recommend.
Here is an old (c. 2006) listing of my 22 favorite works of fiction. I leave it here for posterity.
I enjoy long-distance running, as can be seen in these ancient pictures from the OSU linguistics department team, Running Speech.
