Obectives of The MU-CSDGH
To create an interdisciplinary network of researchers at Maseno University and collaborating partner institutions to support the integration of sustainable development (e.g. development economics, agriculture, environmental science, etc.) and health sciences to develop and study interventions to address the challenges of infectious and non-communicable diseases in the Lake Victoria region through state-of-the-art research and training. In addition, the Centre will address how health interventions can foster economic growth for a sustainable impact on community health and development.

To be a leading Centre for the generation of knowledge, development of skills, and implementation of strategies for the management of infectious and non-communicable diseases to create sustainable development in the Lake Victoria region.

To serve as a collaborative regional and global research hub and Centre of Excellence on the bi-directional influence of sustainable development, and infectious and non-communicable diseases.
