- Beit Ummar (àrab: بيت اُمّر, Bayt Ummar) és un municipi palestí de la governació d'Hebron, a Cisjordània, situat 11 kilòmetres al nord-oest d'Hebron. Segons l'Oficina Central Palestina d'Estadístiques tenia una població de 17.892 habitants el 2016. Més de 4.800 residents de la ciutat tenen menys de 18 anys. Des de la Segona Intifada, la desocupació oscil·la entre el 60 i el 80%, principalment per la incapacitat dels residents per treballar a Israel i una depressió en l'economia palestina. Una part de la ciutat s'estén a la carretera 60 i, a causa d'això, s'han produït diverses proposicions de demolicions de cases. Beit Ummar és principalment agrícola i destaca per les seves nombroses vinyes de raïm. Això té un aspecte important en la seva tradició culinària de fulles de raïm farcides conegudes com a waraq al-'inib i un xarop de raïm anomenat dibs . - Beit Ummar (Arabic: بيت اُمّر) is a Palestinian town located eleven kilometers northwest of Hebron in the Hebron Governorate of the State of Palestine. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, in 2016, the town had a population of 17,892 inhabitants. Over 4,800 residents of the town are under the age of 18. Since the Second Intifada, unemployment ranges between 60 and 80 percent due mostly to the inability of residents to work in Israel and a depression in the Palestinian economy. A part of the city straddles Road 60 and due to this, several propositions of house demolition have occurred. Beit Ummar is mostly agricultural and is noted for its many grape vines. This has a major aspect on their culinary tradition of stuffed grape leaves known as waraq al-'inib and a grape syrup called dibs. Beit Ummar also has cherry, plum, apple and olive orchards. (en)
