- Das Palais Bretzenheim ist ein historisches Gebäude in Mannheim. Es liegt im Quadrat A 2 unmittelbar gegenüber dem Mannheimer Schloss und ist eines der wichtigsten historischen Mannheimer Adelshäuser. Das Palais wurde 1782 bis 1788 nach Plänen des Hofarchitekten Peter Anton von Verschaffelt errichtet. In diesem Gebäude hatte der Kurfürst Carl Theodor seine Maitresse, die zur Gräfin von Heydeck erhobene Tänzerin Josepha Seyffert, und die vier gemeinsamen Kinder untergebracht, denen Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart hier Klavierunterricht erteilte. Diese Kinder bildeten später das Adelsgeschlecht Bretzenheim. (de)

It is located near the Mannheim Palace on the University of Mannheim's campus. The Palais was built between 1781 and 1788 according to the plans of the court architect Peter Anton von Verschaffelt and belongs to the most important historical buildings of Mannheim's nobility. Originally, the Palais hosted the four children of Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria and his mistress Josepha Seyffert as well as accommodated Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for a limited time teaching the elector's children how to play the piano. Today, the Palais houses parts of the district court Mannheim. (en)

Fica situado no quarteirão A2, frente ao Mannheimer Schloss, e é uma das mais importantes casas nobres da cidade. A residência foi erguida, entre 1782 e 1788, segundo um projecto do arquitecto da corte . Neste edifício estiveram acomodados os quatro filhos que o Eleitor teve com a sua amante, a bailarina , feita Condessa de Heydeck. Foi também neste palácio que Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart deu aulas de piano aos quatro filhos do eleitor. (pt)
