- Ein Ring Cairn (korrekter als „Ring Bank Enclosure“, fälschlich als „Ring Barrow“ bezeichnet) ist eine leicht ovale oder runde, ringförmige, maximal 0,5 m hohe, jedoch unter Umständen mehrere Meter breite Wallstruktur, von 8 bis 22 m Durchmesser, aus Geröll und Erde, die ursprünglich in ihrer Mitte leer war. In einigen Fällen wurde das Zentrum später genutzt (in Manaton, beim Hound Tor mit einer Steinkiste - cornisch: Kistvaen). Die niedrige Struktur der Cairns, ist ohne Ausgrabungen nicht immer zu erkennen. (de)

It is made of stone and earth and was originally empty in the centre. In several cases the middle of the ring was later used (at Hound Tor, for example, there is a stone cist in the centre). The low profile of these cairns is not always possible to make out without conducting excavations. (en)
