- Οι Ρίζες είναι ο ανατολικότερος οικισμός της δημοτικής ενότητας Τεγέας, η οποία με τη σειρά της ανήκει στο δήμο Τρίπολης, του νομού Αρκαδίας, στην Πελοπόννησο. Σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία της απογραφής του 2011, ο πληθυσμός του ανέρχεται στους 552 κατοίκους. Η κύρια οικονομική δραστηριότητα είναι η γεωργία. Οι καλλιέργειες περιλαμβάνουν κεράσια, πατάτες και σταφύλια, από τα οποία γίνεται και παραγωγή κρασιού. Το χωριό βρίσκεται στους πρόποδες του βουνού Άγιος Ηλίας (Προφήτης Ηλίας) που περιλαμβάνει τέσσερις αξιόλογες εκκλησίες. Στην κορυφή (1.100 μέτρα) βρίσκεται η μικρή εκκλησία του Προφήτη Ηλία, ακολουθούμενη κατά σειρά υψομέτρου από τις εκκλησίες του Αγίου Νικολάου, της Αγίας Μαρίνας και του Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα. Η γιορτή της Αγίας Μαρίνας γιορτάζεται κάθε χρόνο στις 17 Ιουλίου με μία τοπική πανήγυρη. (el)

The village lies at the roots of the mountain named Saint Elias (Προφήτης Ηλίας) which includes four noteworthy churches. At the summit is the small church of the Prophet Elias followed by in order of descending elevation the churches of Saint Nicholas, Saint Marina and Saint Spyridon. The feast of Saint Marina is celebrated every year on 17 July with a popular festival in the village. (en)
