On September 30, 2024, the Board of Social Work Examiners adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 18 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations concern updates dealing with adding regulations for clinical supervisors, and updating clinical supervision requirements, the social worker code of ethics, and continuing education hours for renewals.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on October 30, 2024, and are effective on November 29, 2024. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The regulation changes will first appear in Register 252, January 2025 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
