ASU-Beebe Heber Springs Campus to Celebrate 25th Anniversary
Arkansas State University-Beebe Heber Springs campus will celebrate its 25th Anniversary Celebration with a reception from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Brinkley Courtyard on the Heber Springs campus at 101 Rivercrest Drive at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain.

ASU Mid-South Named to Honor Roll in Great Colleges to Work For Survey
Arkansas State University Mid-South is among the greatest colleges to work for, according to a survey by The Chronicle of Higher Education, a top trade publication for colleges and universities. Mid-South is one of 75 institutions recognized and 42 named to the honor roll.

Dr. Brendan Kelly Begins Tenure as New President of Arkansas State University System
Dr. Brendan Kelly today officially began his appointment as only the third president of the Arkansas State University System. The ASU System Board of Trustees voted to hire Kelly, who had served as president of the University of West Georgia since 2020, on June 5. He succeeds interim president Dr. Robin Myers and the second system president, Dr. Chuck Welch, who left the system in January after nearly 13 years to become president and CEO of the American Association of State Colleges & Universities (AASCU) in Washington, D.C.

ASU Trustees Approve $48 Million in Capital Projects at A-State, Highlighted by New Veterinary School Facility
The Arkansas State University Board of Trustees today in a special meeting approved nearly $48 million in capital projects at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, including a home for its new College of Veterinary Medicine.

Arkansas Biosciences Institute Leaders, Faculty to Celebrate 20 Years at A-State
For the past 20 years, the research scientists at Arkansas Biosciences Institute have been working diligently to find answers as their work guides them where medicine and agriculture meet. Arkansas voters approved a plan to dedicate funds from the Tobacco Settlement Proceeds Act of 2000 to create a collaborative research enterprise that could help improve the health of the state’s citizens. The result was Arkansas Biosciences Institute. On Sept. 18, many of those involved with ABI’s creation and those currently involved with its ongoing research will gather at Arkansas State University to celebrate the achievements of those first two decades.
