I often use natural language processing to process media and social media content, and survey experiments to understand the mechanisms behind public opinion formation.
Right now, I am working on papers about global levels of public concern about climate change; the public opinion effects of disruptive climate protests; the political and non-political identities in people’s Twitter bios; and how to change majorities’ perceptions of ethnic discrimination.

I am an assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH), at the Department of Political Science and the Center for Social Data Science (SODAS). I am political psychologist using quantitative methods to study public opinion about climate change, political communication, and social identities. I got my PhD in Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
