Molly Gazay is a a NY based award winning 3rd gen American Irish Traveler with circus ancestors born in California and traveled around the west coast, which gave her the opportunity to live in various west coast cities and Mexico. Moving ignited her storytelling abilities as she often created different worlds for her 5 younger siblings while they caravaned.
After attending San Jose State University's TV/Film program she moved to San Fransisco to act professionally with 'Tony and Tina's Wedding' for 2 years while living in her car until she found a stable living space. During her time there she performed regularly in the theater and indie films and was heavily involved in the music scene before moving to NYC. Mollys college work was geared towards Acting & writing but she's sought out at home science education with a fascination in Astrophysics and is an avid believer in the hope we can gain from understanding our past and embracing a balance of self and science.
While in NYC, Molly has trained with Stella Adler, Lesly Kahn Co. and UCB.
Molly often plays intelligent, confident and tough women no matter what genre she's in with big mama wolf energies. She most recently took on the role of an unhinged tough writer haunted on Halloween night in Horror Comedy Indie Feature "Halloween Candy", distributed by Terror Films set to release in 2025. In award winning "Falling Planes" screened at the iconic Soho International Film Festival in 2024, we see her as a tough single mother struggling to help her son with his opioid addiction which was screened at several big film festivals. And in her latest indie political drama Molly plays a confident campaign manager for a democratic candidate for mayor, struggling to break through to her conspirator brother distributed by Red Coral Universe in 2025, produced by Jamen Meistrich.
Beyond her work as an actress, Molly is a prolific dark pop rock singer-songwriter with several songs in Indie TV Pilots and Films that have been seen at Dances with Films, Soho Film Festival and many more. She is also a writer currently working on several Sci-fi drama and comedy based scripts and her book "Tales From The Edge of the World", a short story collection of sci-fi, Supernatural, Post apocalyptic and fantasy stories. She's trained with Guns 4 Reel Hand gun & Rifle work and avidly practices yoga.
In her free time, Molly is a globe trotter, dog mom and always learning about science by going to lectures. She is passionate as a performer it to help people feel less alone, and create a world where we jump to empathy first.
