Amy Renée Garcia is a writer, actress, and NYWIFT member. In 2020, she was awarded "Best Actress in a Feature Film" at the Culver City Film Festival for her portrayal of Claire Sable in the feature film Drown the Clown, which is available on multiple streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Google Play. The film was accepted into the following film festivals (2020): Culver City Film Festival, Florence Film Awards, Golden State Film Festival, Jelly Film Festival (finalist), Los Angeles Lift-Off Global Network, New York Lift-Off Film Festival, Queen Palm Film Festival, and Salem Horror Fest. She played the lead role in Teen Idol Tom, released on Amazon Prime in 2019, and which won a 2007 Aegis Award in Drama/Entertainment, received honorable mentions in the categories of Feature Films and Original Screenplay from the Accolade Competition, and was a finalist at the National Festival for Talented Youth in Seattle, Washington and the Philadelphia Documentary and Fiction Festival in 2008. Other acting credits include a role & voice-over for two characters in Cupid's Guillotine, which came out on Amazon Instant Video & Roku TV in February of 2017, and will soon come out on all BLU-RAY, DVD and VOD platforms, and a role in Natural Rejection, which played in LA and NYC theaters in October of 2013. She has numerous collaborations with JEV Productions. She studied acting for film & stage at Temple University, where she wrote and directed the original full-length stage play Rats and Alleycats in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival (2007) & participated in a variety of independent projects.
