Björn Johan Peter Wåhlin was born on August 29 Th, 1990 in Norrkoping, Ostergotland, Sweden where he was raised by his mother Lena Lorentzon (former Wåhlin) who works as a truck driver, and his father Peter Persson who's now a retired construction worker. He has two older siblings. Johan's mother tongue is Swedish but speaks English fluently.
His love for acting began when Johan turned thirteen when his friend was producing a short film for a school project and cast him as the co-lead. The film later got 2nd place in an international art competition in Riga, Latvia. In high school Johan studied film and visual design and produced, directed and acted in many projects, gaining experience both in-front of and behind the camera. Turning eighteen Johan got discovered by a stunt coordinator who held a stage fighting class and saw the passion and talent in the young man. Taking Johan under his wings, the stunt coordinator trained and coached Johan throughout his school years and later made him a core member of the stunt team Film and stage fighters Sweden.
After graduating high school Johan auditioned for and landed speaking roles in the musical Showboat and numerous other local plays. He got drafted in the Swedish Armed Forces and completed his eleven month mandatory military service in the year of 2010, and has since worked as an employed soldier alongside his acting career.
The turning point for Johan was when he landed two supporting roles in Crazy Pictures second season of the web series "Poetry for fishes', in The Wasting Battle (2015) and Like (2015), directed by Victor Danell'. Thanks to his great work on these short films he earned the part of Råsmark in the feature film The Unthinkable (2018), also directed by Victor Danell', and as Adde in the TV-series Syrror (2016), directed by Lisa Farzaneh' and Tord Danielsson'.
Since October 2018 Johan is one of the owners of the film production company called Runda Bordet Film that's based in Sweden.
Johan is being represented by the Commercial Actors Agency and Schultzberg Management since 2017.
