Featured review
Eddie Cantor stars in this Paramount short subject as a man in a doctor's office
getting an examination for an insurance policy. With Charles Wilson as the examining doctor/straight man a lot of the patter comedy centers around the stock market crash.
That was a subject near and dear to Cantor as he was wiped out in the crash. At this point in his life he was working to put food on the table for Ida and the five daughters.
One of his best patter songs Now That The Girls Are Wearing Long Dresses is the highlight of the short subject. Eddie's in top form with this one.
Insurance is a great example of Eddie Cantor's art and why he was a national icon in those years.
