Directing This Documentary Interview

I had the pleasure of directing this prequel to the release of the movie for MGM. I had worked with Frankenheimer on my series "The Making Of:" when covering his movie 52 Pickup with Roy Scheider and Ann Margaret, and with Frank Sinatra when I was representing Don Rickles.

I believe that all of these men had an awareness of the impact and greatness of the Manchurian Candidate. Although Denzel Washington did star in the remake and did a marvelous job as always, the direction, style and look of the film, and grittiness just was not there.

This project will go down in my top 10 projects of my career, and I was honored to be chosen to direct it for MGM.
