Had the game not been rushed, there would have been a full story that apparently involved Rayman trying to save Globox from the Rabbids. All there is in the final game is the opening cut scene (in which Rayman attempts in infiltrate the Rabbid's secret lair) and an after credits scene where it's shown that the Rabbids weren't successful in their takeover.
