Weird people
I don't know why I watched this Artsy fartsy film to the end...I guess I was fascinated by how weird people can be. The main couple are only normal in that they have three children. You want to reach into the screen and slap some of the characters......Each scene becomes more outrageous and after the film is over, you just wondered what the movie was all about
Pretty Poison (1996)
Skip this and see the original
Although the film follows the original (1962 version) almost word for word..It fails miserably because let's face it, Anthony Perkins and Tuesday Weld are a hard act to follow. If you want to see a very funny, take-off of this movie, try and see Delilah Rose, (2010) produced by Rubber Dagger Films. Although different, Delilah Rose has an Elvis look alike on the trail of supposed terrorists and when he meets up with Delilah Rose she turns out nastier than he could ever imagine.. The 1996 movie lacks a wit and a charm that is so important in this kind of subject matter. The film should have had a more compelling actress who could act.. Skip this and dig up the original....Or see Delilah rose
Scream and Scream Again (1970)
Awful waste of talent
This movie is so bad that anyone who enjoys it is beyond help.
What a waste of talent...The movie doesn't make sense, is badly directed, has a jazz score (For a horror film?) It's like a group of High School students with a little money made this.
Usually the Brits can do no wrong in making a movie..Wow,I'm surprised.
Where was Hammer when you needed them?
Made in 1970, there are some surprising scenes of sexuality.
It's clear Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, and Peter Cushing needed to pay their car payments, or else how would they ever agree to even appear in this mess.
Drango (1957)
Interesting failure
John Lupton was a Union Captain not Confederate: I agree that no Blacks seemed odd in a story taking place in Georgia during reconstruction. Considering the movie was made in 1957, it did bring home some valid points. Bitterness and hatred exist to this very day...Black and white photography is excellent, but the film should have been made in Color. It looks too much like the hundreds of westerns that were on TV in 1957. Anyway it was a noble attempt and although it fails to arouse much excitement, it did in it's own quiet way show how the reconstructed period was very difficult. Anyway the movie should be reviewed as an interesting and erstwhile failure
War of the Worlds (2005)
war of the 9/11?
Any responsible movie goer who knows the minimal about movie making has to agree, this movie is a wreck. Poorly edited, huge gaps missing, poor scripting and most of all uncalled for metaphors make this movie ridiculous.
Tim Robbins is embarrassing.
Laughter broke out when Tom Cruise sang a lullaby...OMG
The Aliens are destroying everything in site and all of a sudden out of nowhere a photo wall appears. (Like who has time?)
Tom Cruise has the only car that works..
Tom Cruises son disappears because he wants to fight the Aliens. He goes with the soldiers...Then mysteriously reappears at the end without a scratch...OUCH!
See it for yourself and have a good laugh... Spielberg has lost it!!!!!
