R7 is a large Brazilian content web site. This project is developing a software platform to attend the present and future needs of the company, by automating several processes that are now manual and offering base abstractions to enable new kinds of media and interactive services.
The project called for a highly distributed architecture, relying on a refined caching infrastructure and seizing the benefits of asynchronous processing whenever possible.
