We produce globally significant research and offer best-in-class teaching in our state-of-the-art facilities. We drive industry innovations through collaborations with government and private enterprise.   

Our School has more than 100 staff and ​nearly 200 Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students working across the disciplines of Computer Science and Mathematical Sciences. Our work is supported by the proven industry experience of the Teletraffic Research Centre (TRC), which undertakes research fundamental to most areas of academia, industry, and society at large.

Winners of Visualise Your Thesis Competition announced

A HDR student from the School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences won both the People’s Choice Award and Second Place in the Visualise Your Thesis Competition, organised by the University Library. 

University of Adelaide showcases leadership in Software Security at ESEM 2024

3 full research papers led by Professor Ali Babar and Dr Triet Le are accepted at the 18th International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement (ESEM) 2024, demonstrating leadership in the field.

Márta Svéd Scholarship applications now open

The applications for the Márta Svéd scholarship are now open. This supports three female undergraduate students to undertake a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences or a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences (Advanced) program of study at the University of Adelaide.
