The 12th International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics

The 12th International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics is organized and hosted by the International Society of Agromatics and BioSense Insitute with technical and financial sponsorships from IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, Food and Agriculture Organization, Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), Agricultural and Environmental Informatics Application and Research Center (TARBİL), and Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) of George Mason University. Agro-geoinformation is critical for the agricultural sustainability, food security, environmental research, bioenergy, natural resource conservation, land use management, carbon accounting, global climate change, health research, agricultural industry, commodity trading, economy research, education, agricultural decision-making and policy formulation, etc. The Agro-Geoinformatics conferences were successfully held in Shanghai, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2012), Washington DC, USA(Agro-Geoinformatics 2013), Beijing, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2014), Istanbul Turkey (Agro-Geoinformatics 2015), Tianjin, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2016), Washington DC, USA (Agro-Geoinformatics 2017), Hangzhou, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2018), Istanbul, Turkey (Agro-Geoinformatics 2019), Virtual, (Agro-Geoinformatics 2021), Quebec City, Canada (Agro-Geoinformatics 2022), and Wuhan, China (Agro-Geoinformatics 2023). The Agro-Geoinformatics conferences have provided and will continue to provide an ideal venue for professionals and students to exchange their ideas, research results, professional experiences, the latest developments and future vision of agro-geoinformatics. The Agro-Geoinformatics 2024 conference will continue covering the recent advances in the life cycle of Agro-geoinformatics, from data collection (including field surveys and remote sensing), processing, storing, archiving, preservation, retrieving, transmitting, accessing, visualization, analyzing, synthesizing, presenting, disseminating to decision making.

12th International FIG Workshop on the Land Administration Domain Model & 3D Land Administration

The 12th International FIG Workshop on the Land Administration Domain Model & 3D Land Administration will take place in Kuching, Malaysia, 24-26 September 2024. It will be a joint event together with Geoinformation Week 2024 (including Exhibition from vendors), FIG Commission 5 (Positioning and Measurement) Annual Meeting, FIG Commission 7 (Cadastre and Land Management) Annual Meeting, UN Habitat Social Tenure Doman Model (STDM) FIG Workshop on the Land Administration Domain Model & 3D Land Administration The team of local organizers consists of the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM), the Sarawak Land and Survey Deptartment (JTS), and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) Sarawak Branch. Workshop purpose: The workshop aims to bring together experts from the industry, government, and academia, to present and discuss LADM and/or 3D LA related developments including live demonstrations of LADM implementations (operational systems, pilots, prototypes). The workshop will also cover informal or customary rights (, restrictions, resposibilities) as exiting in many countries, next to the more formal rights that are being registered. UN-Habitat is using the LADM specialization STDM (Social Tenure Domain Model) in 17 countries to register these informal/customary rights. Also, UN-FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization)\’s SOLA (Solutions for Open Land Administration)/Open Tenure and USAID\’s MAST (Mobile Applications to Secure Tenure) infomation models are all based on LADM. Speakers who want to share their experiences on implementation are cordially invited to participate. This workshop will provide solid input to the \”Implementation\” part of Edition II of LADM, to be developed in collaboration with OGC. The workshop should enable making important choices, such as the technical encodings.
