Gabriela said she's begun packing her belongings in the hopes that, if arrested and deported, acquaintances might be able to ship them back to Bolivia.

"I lost all my money, my belongings and I can't find my family anywhere," she added.

She is OK and her child is safe, she says, but they have no belongings.

“We lost everything, we don’t have anything. We ran out with our pajamas on our bodies and house shoes and that’s all the belongings we have,” she said.

They looked weary sitting on bags holding the few belongings they could bring with them in the long journey to safety.
