The ability to vote easily and effectively is a key to free and fair elections. Casting a ballot should be so simple that everyone can do it: marking the ballot as they intend, casting it as marked, and having it counted as cast. I am co-director of the Center for Civic Design working with election officials and advocates to improve elections.
