Zichen LIU

About Me

Nice to meet you! I am Zichen LIU (刘子辰), currently a 2nd year Ph.D. student in Visual Intelligence Lab, at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), supervised by Prof. Qifeng CHEN. Before that, I got my B.S. degree in Data Science and Technology from HKUST, where I was honored to work with Prof. QU, Huamin, Prof. WONG, Raymond Chi Wing and Prof. XU, Dan.

My research interests lie in Generative AI and Human-AI Collaboration. I’m particularly interested in developing AI tools that can understand and execute creative intentions without requiring users to master complex skills, essentially making advanced AI capabilities feel natural and effortless to use.

I enjoy engaging in communication with others, not only limited to scientific research. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing table tennis and basketball. I was the table tennis champion in my High School 😎🏓 and a member of the HKUST Mainland Student Basketball Team ⛹️.

• Generative AI: I focus on developing advanced AI techniques that push the boundaries of creative expression, from image, video to animation.
• Human-AI Collaboration: I am passionate about designing intuitive systems enabling users to harness AI tools through natural interactions without requiring technical expertise.
