Josh Lu is a partner at Andreessen Horowitz on the A16Z GAMES investing team, focused on game studios and the intersection between games and social applications.
Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, he was the Product Group Lead and Product Management Director for Horizon Worlds at Meta and oversaw the launch of their flagship metaverse product. Before Meta, Josh spent more than a decade in the games industry as VP Product/Publishing/Analytics at Blizzard Entertainment and Head of Product Management at Zynga. Josh started his career in product roles at Playdom (acquired by Disney) and Scopely.
He holds a dual BA in Economics and Diplomacy & World Affairs from Occidental College. Josh enjoys spending time working with education-focused nonprofits by serving on the Board of Advisors for Carina Initiatives and as the Board Chair at Astra. He’s also an avid cook/baker, basketball player, and new dad.
