Main research work is in the area of Formal Methods, Biologically (Nature) Inspired Computing, Complex Systems, Emergence, Serious Games, Multi-Agent Systems, and Information Security.
More than 15 invited talks to Universities, International Conferences and companies around the world.
Published more than 100 refereed papers in International Conferences and Journals and edited more than 15 books.
Organized, chaired and joined scientific committees of numerous International Conferences in the areas of his research, and also a number of International Student Conferences (the Student Spring Symposium series http://www.s3symposium.org/ and the South East European Doctoral Student Conference http://www.seerc.org/dsc2010/rt2.html).
Teaching Java Programming (using software robots but also a custom robot as a vehicle of study) courses in BSc and MSc levels, Information Security in the 3rd level of BSc and ICT for Strategic Management in the MSc level. He continuously has an interest the last 15 years for Java programming and Internet applications and he has dealt with network programming and web applications using Java, AJAX, Ruby on Rails and other technologies since 1996.
