The imprecatory psalms are a group of psalms and psalm-verses that contain curses and predictions... more The imprecatory psalms are a group of psalms and psalm-verses that contain curses and predictions of calamities upon evildoers. The negative aspect of these parts of the psalms are often not well-understood, and can be the cause of controversies. While some prefer to dismiss these psalms and focus on the psalms they prefer, the truth is that the imprecatory psalms contain a spiritual value which may not be obvious at first glance. This paper expounds the value of these psalms, and helps the reader to discover their meaning, beauty, and their rightful place in Divine Revelation.
