Dr Xia Huang
Materials for electrochemcial energy storage
Xia Huang's research focuses on functional materials for electrochemical energy storage with specific interest in next-generation rechargeable batteries, including lithium-ion, lithium-sulfur and solid-state batteries.
Xia Huang is currently an Advanced Queensland Research Fellow at AIBN. From 2016-2019, she undertook her PhD study in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Queensland. Her PhD project aimed at developing novel two-dimentional nanomaterials for the development of high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries. She joined AIBN as a postdoctoral researcher in 2020. Her research focuses on materials for lithium-ion batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries and solid-state batteries. In late 2021, she won the Advacned Queensland Industry Research Fellowship to develop rubost cathode materials for next generation lithium-ion batteries.
