Sabah Gaznaghi specialises in material and data science: streamlining synthesis and characterization of perovskite quantum dots with machine learning and optimization techniques.

Sabah Gaznaghi earned his master’s degree in nanotechnology-nanophysics at Urmia University. He commenced his PhD at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, the University of Queensland in 2021, under the supervision of Professor Lianzhou Wang. His research is dedicated to the development of perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) and their self-assembly for optoelectronic applications. Sabah’s work is distinguished by a dual approach: hands-on synthesis and characterization of PQDs in the laboratory, along with the development of AI-driven workflows and machine learning models to optimize these processes.
