For this purpose, 300 on-site questionnaires were administered to the local visitors. By applying certain criteria to these questionnaires, 280 cases were selected for the economic analysis. Travel costs, alternative recreation areas, the socio-economic variables of visitors such as education, age and income level, were taken as the independent variables in the Salt Lake demand function, while the total number of visits was selected as the dependent variable. In these economic analysis results, the individual consumer surplus was identified as $24/years. At the same time, this value is the protection value of Salt Lake in Tukey. The results showed that to be correlated between the user features and the recreational trends, and to be interpreted their results were the most important stage of rational recreational planning.

For the valuation, a survey was applied to 460 randomly chosen visitors in the RBG and the results were evaluated using Linear Regression with SSPS. The number of visits was taken as the dependent variable (DV) in the model. Travel costs, entrance fee, distance from botanic garden to settlement, age and expenditures made during the visit in the botanic garden were evaluated as independent variables (IV). The negative β value of the variable of the distance to the settlement indicates that there is an inverse relationship between the distance to settlement and the number of visits in a year. Within the scope of the TCM in consequence of the analysis performed, individual consumer surplus was determined as £165/ person and total consumer surplus were determined as £268,950,000/year. This value corresponds to an annual recreational use value of...

Although the water was brought from other basins for restoration, observed temporal human-induced impacts and the current drought have damaged the wetland qualities of the Marshes. In this study, the temporal change of the Marshes and the human-induced effects are analyzed. Spatiotemporal surface water area (1984-2020) and whole land use changes (1990-2018) are evaluated with the temporal change of the Human Development, Global Terrestrial Human Footprint, and Ecological Footprint Indexes. The land use changes since 1990 reveal how the wetland has lost its functions. Especially between 1990-2000, the water area largely shifted into the sandy and swampy areas. In the swampy areas between 1990-2000, natural pasture formation was also observed in 2000. In addition, it is found that mining fields were constructed in the region between 1990-2000, albeit relatively small. According to ...
