Often described – in the media, specialist works or in popular culture – as a special, exotic experience, that can tempt, through its illusory effects, becoming a dangerous and destructive way through which people try to escape stress, anxiety or other emotional problems. These roots, however, also allow the use of art in preventing the consumption of narcotics and psychotropic substances (through awareness of the risks), but also in therapy. Theater can be (and is) used as a method to raise public awareness of drug use issues and educate/warn them in a variety of ways – presenting performances (centred on this topic), organizing debates, and after performances, workshops. Even if we have the impression that everything started now, in reality, even in Romanian society, this theme has been present for more than a century. Sorana Țopa has been sending such signals since 1928, in a subtle way, by means of a little-known dramatic text, Merchants of Illusions, which invites reflection on what (in a standard formula) we call today the risk of drug consumption. The history of Romanian theater still has many lessons to offer."

Cehov A life in letters - Correspondence (1891 - 1904)" (volume II), neat edition, selection, translation from Russian and notes by Sorina Bălănescu, is not just a book - it represents a gesture of intellectual nobility by Mrs. Sorina Bălănescu, theater critic, literary historian, university professor who left her ma4rk on many generations of students of UAIC (where she taught Russian language and literature for 42 years) and UNAGE Iași, member of the founding team of the Doctoral School of theater, translator of esteemed professional status to these we will add a membership that she proudly declares: member of the "Dostoevsky Society of Academic Studies" - an international, elitist club with only (about) 120 members. In a world of truncated, short and (mostly) formal messages; the epistolary genre reminds us of the need for confession, the sharing of joy and sadness, and (especially) of the word needing meaning and emotion. 74 themes, 317 texts - 317 fragments of life, which we can understand better thanks to the translator's care to give us her work and spirit."

In other words, the first step towards creativity leads to the awareness of point A, from which one departs to the wished-for Z; the visualization of the desire/objective, the usefulness of the idea (perhaps even the urgency), and the state of agreement with the non-negotiable values outline the route whose starting point is in what we could generically call the identity of the moment.

These elements determine us to structure the show workshops so as to have as a starting point the practical argumentation of theory supported by our research. Every stage action started from a core idea, concept or hypothesis, the stage performance confirming or invalidating the anticipated formula. This led to better understanding of resources of stage expression offered by simultaneous presences (puppet actors - actors), which can be identified throughout the history of performing arts; and to necessity to correlate rehearsal time (voice, body) to the type of performance and also to organic understanding of the theory used. All these aspects call for a more careful and ...

We wondered: “What is the secret? How does Alexander Hausvater succeed in determining the actors he works with to search/discover the giant within, to renounce their crippling fears and the numbness of the everyday? What are the steps the actors take to find themselves?” We knew some things about the (probably defining) periods of physical and vocal training, but we wanted to find out… the truth. Caught in the cage of the rigours of academic research, we...

Perhaps: “it has given to the world innovative, poetic performances that have brought about a new aesthetic vibe.” If you skim through World Encyclopaedia of Puppetry Arts (first edition published in French, under the title Encyclopédie mondiale des arts de la marionette, and second edition published in English, under the aforementioned titled, available online at: https://wepa.unima.org/en/), you will find more information on Romanian puppet theatre than you might expect. A complicated history that has been reshaped subjectively – as is the case with every history. And, given that Margareta Niculescu left this world on the 19th of August, 2018, I’ve decided to turn back to the pages 493 and 494 (from the first edition), as if going in a pilgrimage. For quite some time, I’ve been thinking of getting closer to her, all prejudices, myths and subjec...

However… The Ministerial Order that has allowed, in 2012, the introduction of “Personal Development” in the curriculum has opened a path that has not yet accomplished its role of guiding students to themselves and to the optimal variant for the manifestation of their potential; this aspect has even been demonstrated by analytical programs submitted to and edited by well known publishing houses. Therefore, the present study is meant to open an efficient dialog on the necessity of a transdisciplinary and creative approach to personal development.

They insisted upon the use of the standard including questionnaire and the methods of investigation for the vocal parameters during the gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Alcohol intake, smoking, stress, gastro esophageal reflux and different allergens influenced the symptoms and the objective alterations of the vocal performance (Reflux Finding Score - RFI, Reflux Symptoms Index - RSI). The symptoms, statistically significant, on the studied series were hoarseness (p=0.0l), postnasal drip (p=0.03), globus hystericus (p=0.0l). ENT examination revealed: erythema, congestion (p=0.0l), vocal folds edema (p=0.0l), profuse laryngeal edema (p=0.02), posterior commissure hypertrophy (p=0.02). Environmental factors and gastro esophageal reflux disease had a negative impact on the vocal performances of the vocal professionals.

Its labelling as „minor art” is due to ignorance, misunderstanding and an unjustified misconceptions of those who express very strong opinions on this issue. Actually, the art of marionette theatre is governed by laws, techniques and specific poetics, which are well-established and influenced by both performance and visual arts, but also by the need for metaphor and technical rigour. Our study stems from the Essay on Marionette Theatre by Heinrich von Kleist.

Appearance and resilience tend to measure our ability to withstand the unexpected closings and openings of theatrical encounters; in fact, they become ways of reflecting the dimension of each artist's desire to get involved, to express themselves, to respond to the needs of those around them - as each knows best, each with his craft. In this context, the definition of the theory of emerging evolution offers us a new perspective on creativity; the hybrid formulas of “theater-filming”, whatever the attached concept would be, carry with them the vibration of the “spontaneous and the unpredictable”. This premise might lead to the following question: what is it that can cause a connection between puppets and such a context? This question was raised by a series of researchers and it determined them to search, find out and interpret. Even a mere scan through the history of animation theatre1 leads to the observation that situations of crisis generate reactions/answers, in terms of performance, that can be subject to: the wish to convey a message (that has the power to influence), an artistic movement – structured as a form of answer, a current of thought – with or without political influences. Boundaries between these are purely theoretical, as the interferences are an indisputable reality. I shall only bring forth several examples, which I consider significant for the three dimensions of the proposed hypothesis that are to be analysed, as it is clear that an exhaustive list of example...
