We study the effects of photoirradiation with circularly polarized light on the Dirac half-metal state induced by the ferrimagnetic order in a triangular Kondo-lattice model. Our analysis based on the Floquet theory reveals that two types of Floquet Chern insulator phases appear as photoinduced nonequilibrium steady states and that these two phases can be experimentally detected and distinguished by measurements of the Hall conductivity. It is elucidated that these rich nonequilibrium topological phases come from higher-order terms in the high-frequency expansion called Brillouin-Wigner expansion, which is in striking contrast to usually discussed Floquet Chern insulator phases originating from the lowest-order terms of the expansion. So far, the lattice electron models on simple non-multipartite lattices such as triangular lattices and square lattices have not been regarded as targets of the Floquet engineering because the lowest-order terms of the high-frequency expansion for Floquet effective Hamiltonians cancel each other to vanish in these systems. Our findings of the Floquet Chern insulator phases in a triangular Kondo-lattice model are expected to expand the range of potential models and even materials targeted by the Floquet engineering.

Hedgehog and antihedgehog spin textures in magnets behave as emergent monopoles and antimonopoles, which give rise to astonishing transport and electromagnetic phenomena. Using the Kondo-lattice model in three dimensions, we theoretically study collective spin-wave excitation modes of magnetic hedgehog lattices which have recently been discovered in itinerant magnets such as MnSi1-xGex and SrFeO3. It is revealed that the spin-wave modes, which appear in the sub-terahertz regime, have dominant amplitudes localized at Dirac strings connecting hedgehog-antihedgehog pairs and are characterized by their translational oscillations. It is found that their spectral features sensitively depend on the number and configuration of the Dirac strings and, thus, can be exploited for identifying the topological phase transitions associated with the monopole-antimonopole pair annihilations.

We theoretically study spin and charge excitations of skyrmion crystals stabilized by conduction-electron-mediated magnetic interactions via spin-charge coupling in a centrosymmetric Kondo-lattice model by large-scale spin-dynamics simulations combined with the kernel polynomial method. We reveal clear segregation of spin and charge excitation channels and nonreciprocal nature of the spin excitations governed by the Fermi-surface geometry, which are unique to the skyrmion crystals in centrosymmetric itinerant hosts and can be a source of novel physical phenomena.

We theoretically demonstrate microwave-induced dynamical switching of magnetic topology in centrosymmetric itinerant magnets by taking the Kondo-lattice model on a triangular lattice, which is known to exhibit two types of skyrmion lattices with different magnetic topological charges of |Nsk| = 1 and 2. Our numerical simulations reveal that intense excitation of a resonance mode with circularly polarized microwave field can switch the magnetic topology, i.e., from the skyrmion lattice with |Nsk| = 1 to another skyrmion lattice with |Nsk| = 2 or to a nontopological magnetic order with |Nsk| = 0 depending on the microwave frequency. This magnetic-topology switching shows various distinct behaviors, that is, deterministic irreversible switching, probabilistic irreversible switching, and temporally random fluctuation depending on the microwave frequency and the strength of the external magnetic field, the variety of which is attributable to different energy landscapes in the dynamical regime. The obtained results are also discussed in the light of time-evolution equations based on an effective model derived using perturbation expansions.
