Seth R Chagi
My name is Seth Chagi, I am a Senior getting my BA in Biological Anthropology, with plans to later pursue my Ph.D. afterward, either in Indiana or Arizona
*Not all of my papers here are meant for the academic level, but rather the Science Communication level, please understand the difference, as it should be clear which is which.*
I am the founder of a SciComm STEM website dubbed the 'World of Paleoanthropology', an Open Access site that gathers all the news, goings-on, and updates in the world of anthropology. We host breaking news, an internet show "The Story of Us" where I interview amazing Anthropologists who are doing their best to share their work, and their stories. I create multiple types of media and content to be consumed by all age levels and people ranging from those just dipping their toes into Biology, to experts in the field. W.O.P.A has something for everything Anthropology enthusiast!
While SciComm is one of my passions, it is by far not the only one.
As far as my personal research goals, I am very interested in is the origins Of Human Cognition. When did we first have abstract thoughts? How? Is there archaeological evidence of theses first occurrences? How did we get from animal sounds to full speech, and what role has the physical evolution of our brain played in all of it? What can art, and the first lithic tools tell us?
All things I want to look into further!
*There is always more to learn!*

All details can be found included.
Please disseminate to your students and affiliates.
We are contacting all biological anthropology professionals who may be involved with students who would be interested in this opportunity to publish.
What role does this new technology play? What does the future look like?
This new find, dating to 1.4mya, this fossil shows that our ancestors were in Europe much earlier than believed, which can change how we think.
What will the repercussions of this be?
Read on to find out.
A SciComm Paper
It has often been thought that the Ancient Andes was a relatively peaceful place, where people grew together traded, and lived somewhat peaceful lives. But the last 50 years or so have shown that is not the case. New evidence proves that there was a large, and wide range of violence in various pre-Inkan cultures in the Andes. In this paper, I examine the bioarchaeological, archaeological, and iconographical evidence to see what war and violence were like in the Andes during these times.

Please check my list out, and let me know what some of your choices are!
This will be made into a page on my website in the next few days, but please enjoy this PDF for the time being.
Now, for newer generations comes a very up to date book, created in conjunction with The Leakey Foundation, we have "Discovering Us", and let me tell you, you need this book!
Which are some of your top choices?
Sound off below!
Join me in an #analysis of "Catching Fire: How #Cooking Made Us Human," by Richard Wrangham, and see if this amazing and innovative use of a natural force, has led us to where we are today!
This is a review of what I think is a fantastic book that all those people who are involved in scientific endeavors, especially SciComm should take a moment to read this book.
It shows the complex, can be made simple and fun.
Genetics is not as simple as most people would like to believe, so let us dig a little deeper, into the more complex ideas of how genes are passed down, and just on how they affect us.
If you have questions, please contact us!
Thank you!

Now the winner of a Nobel Prize, we at WOPA and the Cambridge Biological Anthropology Society would like to congratulate him!
But this as been a controversial topic.
Does this new analysis put the nail in the coffin?
Why is this? What can we do to change this, and more importantly why should we?
Listen to my case for why science communication is imperative, and see how you can help those who may be searching for answers today!
Here I summarize some of what I think were the greatest discoveries of 2021. Let me know what you think of them, or what you would have chosen instead.
As I am preparing to write my best of 2022, I think this will be a great conversation to have.
But with such a new technology being used, is there a margin for error? Where do we stand with the dates today?

New research and dating techniques have now led to more information pertaining to a more accurate date.
