anthropology. This theoretical subject will be discussed and questioned through an analysis of the
place making activity: guerrilla gardening. This paper examines the ways in which guerrilla
gardeners see their global world of places, and how they connect feelings, identity and belonging to
places. Questions of performance, protest, identity and queerness are confronted in an analysis of
pictures. The theoretical arguments and analytical perspectives is aiming to get closer to an
understanding of human interaction with places in a globalized world. It will give new horizons on
how we can understand modern place making.
