「フランスで"百合"の漫画はまだ拡がり始めたばかり」
フランスで6月30日（現地時間）から始まった『Japan Expo 2011』。日本文化、特に漫画やアニメを中心に扱うこの展示会で、会場入り口からもっとも近いところにあるブースでは、日本人作家による女性向けの漫画が多数販売されていた。そのなかには"百合"と呼ばれる女性同士の恋愛を描くジャンルのものも見られた。 店員の女性によると、同ブースには200から300タイトルの漫画が並んでいるという。うち「shojo」（少女漫画）は約50タイトル。それとは別に、男性同士の恋愛を描く「yaoi」（やおい）物が50タイトル以上あるという。日本の文化や日本人の考え方が好きだという22歳のこの店員にお薦めのやおい作品を尋ねると、はにかみながら『アンダーグラウンドホテル』（定広美香）だと教えてくれた。 また同ブースでは、女性同士の恋愛を描く「百合」と呼ばれるジャンルの漫画も1タイトル（『GIRL FRIEND
