日経サイエンス 2022年10月号掲載の生物学関係記事（2022.09.15） 2022年10月号の 日経サイエンス に掲載された生物学に関係する記事の中で， 特に印象に残ったものをいくつか紹介します。 10月号は特集「深海新発見」の記事が中心で，紹介するのはいずれもこの特集の記事になります。 1 本目は「宇宙から見えた発光する海」（ナイハウス, 2022）で，海が広範囲で白く発光する現象について紹介しています。 この現象は半ば伝説上のもので，偶発的な遭遇頼みだった研究ですが，衛星画像を画像を用いた研究が導入され， その発生機構などへの理解が深まる様子が書かれています。海洋に残された研究途上の不思議な現象の一つとして， 興味深い記事でした。 2 本目は「生物から新薬候補続々」（ストーン, 2022）で，海洋生物から新薬候補を探す研究が紹介されています。 生物から新薬候補を探すのは従来から行
