｢日本の柴犬｣が韓国で人気犬種になった理由
釜山の日本総領事館前に新たに設置された慰安婦の少女像問題に端を発し、日韓がぎくしゃくしているが、文化の世界はまた別だ。文化といっても映画や音楽などではなく、韓国で今脚光を浴びているのは、なんと日本犬の柴犬だ。 「きゃあー、柴、柴、柴犬ー」「柴犬？ ですよね？ 実物、初めて見ました。かわいい～」 ソウルで柴犬を散歩させていると、こんなふうにして何度か声を掛けられる。通り過ぎた人がわざわざ引き返してきたこともある。韓国で柴犬は今、まるでアイドルのような扱いだ。 柴犬を散歩させていると、声を掛けられる 柴犬を飼っている韓国人の友人に聞くと、やはりここ2年くらいで「声掛けられ率」がぐんと上がっていて、「3年くらい前だと、知っている人が少なくて説明するのに苦労したけど、最近はほかの人が散歩させている柴犬に遭遇することも増えたし、散歩中に『柴犬に会った』って感動されることもある。今、韓国では本当に人気
