画像処理について紹介する。 コンピュータとCCDカメラの発達により、デジタル画像が身近なものになり、計測分野に果たす役割も大きくなった。 計測分野での画像処理の役割について触れたいと思う。 画像処理とは、カメラやスキャナーなどから得た画像を加工して、欲しい画像情報を抽出する手法を言う。 画像に含まれる興味ある情報を抽出するために、興味のない画像を排除することが画像処理の基本的な手法である。 画像処理の簡単な方法は、得られた画像を手で書き写す方法がある。 欲しい画像だけを書き留めるだけでよい。 銀塩フィルムの場合は、現像や焼き込みを通して欲しい画像を得ることがある。これらの手法はアナログ手法である。 デジタル画像処理は、画像を「画素」（Pixel = Picture Element）と呼ぶ単位に区分けすることから始まる。 この言葉は、1965年に公になった言葉で、米国NASAが火星に探査衛星
