「しょうがいしゃ」どう表記？
交ぜ書きの「障がい者」が４割強、「障害者」が３割。常用漢字にない「碍（正字は礙）」を用いた「障碍者」は文字になじみが薄いためか１割程度でした。「しょうがいしゃ」という言い回しは比較的新しいものです。内閣府に存在した「障がい者制度改革推進本部」で、「障害」の表記について検討されたことがあります（「障害」の表記に関する検討結果について）。この報告の中に、戦前は心身機能の損傷のある人について「障害者」ないし「障碍者」が用いられたことはほとんどなく、いわゆる差別的な言い方が使われていた、とあります。従って「しょうがいしゃ」の表記に当たっては、本来はどうだったか、というような議論は成り立ちにくそうです。報告によると、交ぜ書きの「障がい」が使われるようになった理由は、柔らかい印象がある▽「害」の字は「害虫」や「公害」に含まれる字で印象が悪い――などとのこと。一方で「障害」でよいと考える側から
