www.steve-dutton.co.ukI am delighted to take up this a new Role as research lead for Bath Spa School of Art.The post offers a real opportunity to focus on a holistic approach to art, research, education, curation and practice, to explore new avenues where art practice and pedagogic philosophy can come together in an exciting and enlightened Art School environment. Up until June 2016 I was Professor in Contemporary Art Practice at the University of Lincoln where I developed Artistic Research and National and International Networks. I am an artist/academic with an international profile who works on both collaborative and individual projects. Much of my work has been in collaborations but I am currently producing a new body of solo work which is characterised by a play with image/ text boundaries as a means to think around institutional frameworks and boundaries.I designed and was Course Leader for the MA Fine Art Course at Sheffield Hallam University for 10 years, Reader in Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam for 5 years and Professor in Creative Practice at Coventry University for 4 years (where I founded and developed Lanchester Gallery Projects along with Sadie Kerr)Individual and collaborative projects have been exhibited throughout the UK and internationally including The Stag and Hound at PSL in Leeds for which Dutton and Swindells were nominated for the prestigious Northern Art Prize. I have had major exhibitions in the Dutton/Swindells collaboration at Kuando Museum of Fine Art in Taipei, Incubator in Seoul, Ssamzie Space in Seoul, Consortium in Amsterdam, Txtrapolis at NAFA gallery in Singapore, Kookmin Art Gallery in Seoul, Text Work in Poole UK, S1 Alternative Action Plan
