It traces the doctrine's origins through Origen and Gregory of Nyssa, who drew on Neoplatonic ideas to articulate a dynamic and relational view of God. It also examines how their Trinitarian theology inspired St. Maximus the Confessor to envision the cosmos as a liturgy that participates in God’s life.

The narrative revolves around Dante the Pilgrim's despair and his encounter with Virgil, who guides him on an arduous journey through Hell, Purgatory, and ultimately to Paradise. I unveil a chain of events initiated by Beatrice, representing different forms of love, which stack upon each other in a top-down and bottom-up structure, revealing the transformative power of love as it guides Dante towards the highest good, ultimately portraying God as the source of all good and the driving force behind human existence. Dante's journey showcases the trinitarian nature of love, emphasizing its role in unifying human wills and leading them towards divine presence.
