We are pleased to announce that our internal grocery operations, inventory and delivery systems have been fully restored. We know that the cybersecurity incident we experienced impacted grocery inventories in many Co-op locations across Western Canada. With our grocery systems fully restored, we want to assure you our priority is expediting grocery supply to local Co-ops. As always, we want to thank Co-op members and customers for their patience and understanding during this time.

FCL’s Community Investment Fund supports community programs and organizations that matter to our employees. Our Calgary team members selected the Calgary Meals on Wheels - Hot Soup Program as a recipient. Food insecurity is a growing issue in many communities across Canada. Unfortunately, this means some students arrive at school with no lunch. Calgary Meals on Wheels is working to change this through their Hot Soup Program. During the school year, a nutritious lunch is provided twice a week to Calgary elementary students in at-risk areas. This isn't the first time that the Hot Soup Program has received funding from FCL's Community Investment Fund. Since 2019, the Calgary Giving Committee has directed $18,000 to the program. Thank you to Calgary Meals on Wheels for making a difference. Learn more about our Community Investment Fund: https://bit.ly/2XdknA7

After starting a family, Stephen Bunka wanted to make a career change to be closer to his support network. Coming from a large urban centre, he assumed the job prospects in a rural community would be limited. However, things started to fall into place when he came across the job posting for a Home and Building Solutions (HABS) Division Manager at Dauphin Co-op. While his previous work experience matched many of the requirements for the role, it was the positive endorsements from community members and learning more about Co-op’s values that made Stephen realize this was the right move for him and his family. “When you are part of the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS), you feel that you are doing some good,” explained Stephen. “Co-ops are anchors in their communities, and having a network of community anchors all working with similar values across Western Canada, is a great thing to be part of.” Since joining Co-op in 2015, Stephen has had a chance to grow both his professional knowledge and experience. He has completed various courses and taken advantage of hands-on learning opportunities, like mentorships and contributing to steering committees. “Before joining the CRS, I was not aware of the vast potential for professional growth. You can grow within your position, your department, your retail and the CRS/FCL-wide network,” he said. “There are so many different positions out there that I don’t think people outside of our Co-op family know about.” If you’re interested in a career with Co-op's HABS team, we invite you to check out our current opportunities: https://bit.ly/48ykSou

Supporting communities in need is a core value of Co-op. As wildfires rage near the community of Jasper, Alta., we are proud to provide a $5,000 in-kind donation of supplies to support emergency responders working to contain the blazes. In the face of crisis, the team at The Grocery People (TGP) Your Jasper Grocer, which is owned and operated by FCL stayed to supply food and water for first responders. We also want to express our gratitude to TGP team members, Jasper residents, and anyone else who is helping to support crews in the area.
