  • Our President and CEO, Connie Dejak, recently joined The Pension Blueprint podcast, in a panel discussion with other leaders in Ontario’s First Responder community. The conversation focused on the importance of mental health, the challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI), and the initiatives being developed to support OMERS members. It’s exciting to share the work we’re doing at Runnymede to build Canada’s first-ever, fully-dedicated Centre of Excellence for First Responders and front-line healthcare workers experiencing PTSI. We had a great experience recording an episode for The Pension Blueprint podcast this summer! Connie Dejak, our President and CEO, sat down with OMERS Chief Pension Officer Celine Chiovitti, Police Association of Ontario President @Mark Baxter and Toronto Police Association President Jon Reid to shine a light on the importance of mental health in pensions, the impact of PTSI on Ontario’s first responders, and what we’re doing to support them. Season two is launching next month – we look forward to sharing more soon.
