Abraham Guan, Michael Han, and I teamed up for the UWB Hacks AI hackathon, hosted by UWB ACM and WiCyS UWBothell club. It was a 48-hour hackathon where we collaborated to create Jam AI - an AI powered medical diabetic health assistant.   Traditional methods of managing diabetes can be challenging and often lack personalization. That's why we created Jam AI, your personal health assistant for diabetes management. Jam AI uses modern AI technology to revolutionize the testing experience, offering tailored guidance and support to help you monitor blood sugar levels, receive nutritional advice, and never miss a medication reminder. What does Jam AI do? -Provides personalized guidance for managing diabetes. -Monitors blood sugar levels and offers tailored advice. -Offers nutritional recommendations based on individual needs. -Sends medication reminders to ensure timely doses. How we built it: Jam AI is based on the GPT 3.5 model. We tuned our own model by feeding it around 600 lines of Q&A data in JSONL format about different scenarios for diabetic patients. Each line contains a person's age, height, weight, glucose level, and the choice of food in question. Our front-end utilized bootstrap icons. For back-end, we used flask to make our app. JavaScript to POST input from the user to our model, GET to update the HTML, and POST the output back to the user. Accomplishments: -Developed Jam AI, a personalized health assistant for diabetes management, during the UWB Hacks AI hackathon. -Fine-tuned the GPT-3.5 model with 600 lines of Q&A data in JSONL format, covering various scenarios for diabetic patients. -Utilized Flask for back-end development and JavaScript for dynamic user interaction, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience. Day 10: My Favorite AI Tools 🛠️💻 Can you believe it's Day 10 already? Time flies when you're having fun and coding! Today, I want to show you the AI tools that help me every day. ➡ Claude 3.5 - My top helper. It helps me think, code, and post on social media. It's like having a smart friend always ready to chat! ➡ Leonardo - This one makes pictures for me. When I need a new image, Leonardo creates it. ➡ Cursor - My coding buddy. It's so good that I use the pro version. It's like having a tireless coding partner. ➡ Poe - My backup when I reached a limit on Claude. It lets me talk to other AIs and get new ideas. ➡ Perplexity - When I need to find stuff out, Perplexity helps me search. ➡ Canva AI - I don't use it much, but it's handy for quick picture edits. ➡ Gemini - Great for making logo ideas. I dream up logos with Gemini, then make them real in Figma. Fun fact: I love Claude and Cursor so much, I bought pro versions. They're not just tools; they help me work better! 💼💪 Oh, and here's a secret: I don't use ChatGPT at all. 🙊 I know it's popular, but it's just not for me! What about you? Excited to Share My Latest Project! 🚀   Movie Hive, a native iOS / iPadOS app that integrates a Flutter module. With this app, I wanted to experiment with incrementally adding Flutter to a native environment. The development process involved building the native modules on Xcode with SwiftUI previews and the Flutter module on VS Code with hot reloading and simulators. While maintaining a consistent UI across the two environments can be challenging (the shimmering loading animation for sure was!), the bi-directional communication between the frameworks is seamless, and presenting Flutter screens from SwiftUI feels and looks right at home. One thing I noticed though is that adding the Flutter module slightly increases the total compile time. However, the runtime performance remains completely native with no noticeable impact on speed.
