Junior Accountant

Your New Role and Team

Sanctuary AI, a world leader in building AI-based control systems for humanoid robots, is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dedicated finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll contribute to improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our organization. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for growth and professional development in a supportive environment.

As Sanctuary’s Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, focusing on various accounting tasks including accounts payable, month-end closing, various reconciliation, as well as payroll assistance.

Our Success Criteria

  • Bring hands-on experience in company bookkeeping
  • Process and manage payable transactions, ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintain vendor records, and handle vendor inquiries
  • Identify opportunities for automation within the accounts payable process and collaborate with other departments to integrate automation solutions
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable transactions, ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintain accurate records of receivables and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, oversee various reconciliations, and assist in preparing management reports
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of payroll records processing
  • Oversee project timesheets


Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, and/or or diploma and equivalent relevant work experience
  • 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience in multi-currency environment
  • Proficiency in Xero/QuickBooks Online is preferred
  • Expertise with Excel
  • Experience with payroll is an asset
