We are looking for an enthusiastic Procurement /Purchasing Specialist to join our manufacturing operation. You thrive on finding the best products and service every time. You are meticulous detailed, organized, and persistent in getting what you want. You operate with a sense of urgency and understands the need for tact while interacting with vendors.

You have a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, you take a proactive approach in reviewing current systems and procedures, to make recommendations for continuous improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage complete supply chain of products, inventory, replenishment planning, and purchase order management.

Monitors inventory levels very closely and resolves any issues that may become apparent. Create and provide reports on inventory, POs, turns and aged inventory on a regular basis. Continuously looking for efficiencies and better ways of doing things. Proactive approach Foster close working relationships with associated departments; sales, marketing, finance, and production to ensure awareness of product flows.

Negotiate with suppliers and contractors on price, contract terms, conditions, and supplier consignment.

Lead Supplier Negotiations Regarding Current Production Requirements.

Review open material requirements, monitor vendor performance, and expedite when necessary. Ensure problems related to delivery, quality, or pricing are promptly conveyed to the supplier and resolved in a timely manner.

Lead supplier negotiations regarding post-production (service) support.

Develop supplier protocols, supplier selection, and procurement processes.

Assist with Supply Chain cost recovery (result of poor quality and/or delivery) Development and analysis of Key Performance Indicators monthly to determine where continuous improvements can be achieved.

Lead Freight Negotiation and actively involved with freight management process Other duties include creating purchase orders, order tracking and commercial dispute resolution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Post Secondary Education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or other related degrees.

Job Posting Must have 3 to 5 years purchasing experience ideally in the manufacturing industry. Solid data analysis, inventory management and problem resolution skills

Strong analytical based thinking

Team oriented, self-starter, working toward bettering the internal process for all. Strong understanding of inventory management principles

Effective ability to streamline shipments to reduce shipping cost and overhead for the company. Knowledge of logistics (domestic and international)

Skills

High attention to detail, solid planning, and scheduling skills

Ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively.

Knowledge And Experience Working With International Vendors.

Excellent communication skill at all levels of the organization

MS Office Including Word, Outlook, Advanced Excel Skills

Versatile, tenacious and people orientated.

Highly self-motivated and directed.

Work Safe

Steel toed shoes is always a must in the plant. Candidate must provide own safety shoes. Safety glasses are the responsibility of the employee.

Must adhere to established policies and procedure.
