What do surging coffee prices, Russian deserters and AI radio presenters have in common? 🤔 👉 These were the topics of the three most read stories published by A European Perspective in the last month. 🤖 Polish radio station "OFF Radio Krakow" announced that it had ended an experiment to replace real journalists with presenters generated by AI. The experiment initially sparked national outrage. Originally published by Latvijas Televīzija it was republished by 8 members: https://ow.ly/7oti50U6nH1 🇷🇺 AFP shined a spotlight on France's welcome to six Russian soldiers who deserted the Ukraine war and who it has granted asylum to — the first case of its kind in the EU. The story was republished in nine countries. https://ow.ly/jq3H50U6nH5 ☕️ Spanish broadcaster Radiotelevisión Española looked into the surge in coffee prices, due to climate driven crop disruptions, which has prompted a switch to more sustainable practices, a story also picked up by nine other media outlets. https://ow.ly/ESHm50U6nH4 🔀 These stories were, between them, republished 26 times by media organisations across Europe by A European Perspective, a unique digital news platform, shining a light on pan-European issues.
