The HIV/AIDS pandemic has necessitated significant changes within Spanish penitentiary institutions to effectively respond to the needs of affected individuals. 🔰 This research by Dr. Enrique J. Vera-Remartínez and the team adopts an interpretative paradigm with a phenomenological perspective, capturing the experiences of nursing professionals working in these environments. The visibility of HIV/AIDS in prisons remains low. The adaptation process described aligns with Callista Roy's model, emphasizing the need for ongoing support and awareness. https://lnkd.in/gj6Z4zxZ #PrisonHealthcare #PublicHealth #Nursing

🧾 Study by Dr. Cristina Sánchez Romero, Francisco Crespo-Molero, and Eva María Muñoz Jiménez examines externalizing problems in the juvenile population through a gender lens, utilizing the Child and Adolescent Assessment System (SENA) questionnaire. Their sample included 128 Spanish students (58 males, 67 females), aged 12 to 16, from three high schools in Madrid. 📈 Results highlight the growing #mentalhealth challenges faced by students today. To support their well-being, it is crucial to foster protective environments and enhance emotional intelligence. 💟 Note that this research is part of the project "Therapeutic Innovation Classroom for the Accompaniment of Teenagers with Serious Mental Disorder" (Reference: 2021V/EU-UNED/02). https://lnkd.in/gPtmqhiU

In cancer cells, reactive oxygen species (ROS) don't just harm; they actively regulate protein-protein interactions, influencing critical processes like cell growth, migration, and angiogenesis. 🔄💡 These interactions can be disrupted through various mechanisms, including amino acid modifications and changes in protein structure and complex stability. Understanding how ROS mediate these changes is essential for developing targeted cancer therapies. Dr. Stavros Iliadis and Nikolaos A. Papanikolaou's review explores the intricate ways ROS influence protein interactions and cancer pathways. https://lnkd.in/gk_8Ugag Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) #CancerResearch #Oncology #CellBiology

🧠✨ Did you know that the endocannabinoid signaling system (ECS) is crucial from embryogenesis onward? It plays a vital role in the development of the nervous system, starting with neurulation, and is integral to processes like neurogenesis, neuronal migration, and synaptic circuitry refinement. As our understanding grows, so does concern over the consequences of cannabis exposure during these critical developmental stages, particularly adolescence—a time when the brain is maturing and at increased risk of cannabis use. 🚸 This review by Dr. Ricardo Rodrigues et al explores the current state of knowledge about the ECS’s role throughout brain development and emphasizes the need for further research on #cannabis exposure's effects during adolescence. https://lnkd.in/gf_w5wQ7 University of Coimbra #Endocannabinoids #BrainDevelopment #Neuroscience

✨ As interest in #leadership skills continues to rise in both academia and business, Mr. Sajeev Vijayan's research aims to synthesize existing models and highlight key distinctions between leadership and management. The theory posits that “managing” focuses on improving situations, while “leading” involves personal growth and enabling others to develop. Leadership is framed as an act of self-expansion—where anyone, even followers, can lead! Through a Darwinian process of leading and learning, individuals can progress to leadership roles. This emphasizes the importance of experimentation in leadership—what works today evolves into management science tomorrow. The increasing emphasis on prosocial leadership skills reflects the dynamic nature of leadership in both theory and practice. 🧑💼 https://lnkd.in/gEQ_DRMy #SelfExpansion #HolisticLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment

🌬️ Active flow control technologies are key to reducing noise, emissions, and energy consumption across various applications. Mr. Matthew Butler et al's study presents a comprehensive computational model that integrates structural mechanics, electrostatics, pressure acoustics, and fluid dynamics to optimize synthetic jet actuators. ⚙️Findings illuminate the vital interaction between fluid dynamics and diaphragm performance, emphasizing the importance of precise acoustic modeling for effective actuator design. This research sets the stage for enhanced synthetic jet actuator applications in noise reduction and energy efficiency. https://lnkd.in/gHgZcnpX University of Toronto #FlowControl #AerospaceEngineering

Breaking Boundaries: Achieving 325 cm²/V-s Effective Mobility with 5-nm SnON nFETs! ⚡️ Dr. Pheiroijam Pooja, Mr. Chun Che Chien, and Dr. Albert Chin's findings reveal that these mobility values surpass those of single crystalline Si, InGaAs, and even 2D materials like MoS₂ and WS₂, setting a new benchmark in transistor technology. With their record-breaking effective mass and low polar optical phonon scattering, these SnON nFETs pave the way for advanced monolithic 3D integrated circuits and memory systems. https://lnkd.in/gPanjhbq National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University #Nanotechnology #3DIC #AdvancedMaterials

🎓✨ Efficient scheduling of teaching activities is essential for maximizing resource use and enhancing the academic experience. Mr. Diallo Francis-Patrick and Dr. Catalin Tudose's study introduces an innovative automated scheduling technique that leverages evolutionary algorithms and multi-objective optimization. 📅 By creating conflict-free schedules tailored to room limitations, instructor availability, and student preferences, our system addresses key challenges in timetable generation. The approach not only minimizes disputes but also boosts faculty and student satisfaction. 🤝 This comprehensive project encompasses system design, model creation, algorithm implementation, and performance analysis, ultimately saving administrators time and improving academic operations. https://lnkd.in/gytkPnVu 🎊 The peer-reviewed version is now available in Applied Sciences MDPI! 🌌🔭 This research introduces a groundbreaking approach to modeling star dynamics using discrete dynamical systems. By defining star evolution through discrete-time update rules—factoring in right ascension, declination, and distance—they delve into the chaotic behavior that governs celestial movements. Mr. Rafik Zeraoulia's study enriches our understanding of chaos in celestial systems and enhances dynamical systems theory by merging chaos theory with astronomical modeling. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gUkW4m2i
Dear researchers, I am happy to share my latest work, which introduces a novel approach to modeling star dynamics using discrete dynamical systems. Reflecting the majesty of creation as emphasized in the Holy Quran—"I swear by the locations of the stars" (Al-Waqi‘ah 56:75-77)—we found it impossible to determine the exact positions of stars, underscoring the profound complexity of the cosmos. By applying Ricci flow and Gregory Perelman's entropy, this study provides new insights into stellar dynamics, revealing an exponential increase in entropy that makes precise predictions increasingly challenging over time. I invite experts in astrophysics and differential geometry to review and comment on these new contributions to the field
